William Walter Jackson

William Walter Jackson passed away Friday, January 19, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mark Goolsby will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside. Mr. Jackson, the son of the late Thomas Elmo Jackson and Minnie Lou Bostick Jackson was born April 23, 1925, in Roberta, Georgia. His wife, Tommie Edna Jackson preceded him in death. He retired from the GA Forestry Commission as a supervisor, serving Monroe, Bibb and Crawford Counties. He was a member of East Juliette Baptist Church and a member of the GA Forestry Commission Retiree Association. Mr. Jackson is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Jim) Goolsby of Griffin and Sheila (Jimmy) Smith of Forsyth; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Maynard Baptist Church Building Fund, Post Office Box 576, Forsyth, Ga 31029. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
