Sylvia Delores Williamson of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 Monday, October 3, 2022 at the Forsyth City Cemetery (Newton Memorial Dr.) with Reverend Brian Moore conducting the service. The family will greet friends after the service.
Sylvia was born in Forsyth, Georgia on September 1, 1935 to the late Timothy and Hazel Ard Frazier of Forsyth, Georgia. She was a lifelong resident of Monroe County. She attended Mary Persons High School of Forsyth, Georgia where she became the first Majorette of the Mary Persons High School Band. She was a beautician in Macon, Georgia and Forsyth, Georgia for over forty years. She was also a long time member of Maynard Baptist Church of Forsyth, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Albert Williamson. Survivors include her children Dana Walker of Pensacola, Florida; Audie Rooks of Forsyth, Georgia; Ricky Rooks of Macon, Georgia; and Beth Stephens (Jeff) of Forsyth, Georgia. She is also survived by her grandchildren Stacey Krogh (Matt), Rory Lowe (Joey), Jarrett Rooks (Heide), Dalton Rooks (Brittny), Shasta Herndon (Phillip), Daryl Walker (Priscilla), Joseph Stephens (Brittney), Joshua Stephens (Amber), Chance Walker (Ashley), Billy Stephens (Jess) and 24 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maynard Baptist Church 1195 Juliette Rd Forsyth, Georgia 31029.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
