Johnston and Sarah Stapleton Johnston and Lewis Moore and Sallie Johnson Moore was born August 13, 1934, in Zebulon, Georgia. Her sisters, Francis Westbrook and Evelyn Morgan, her brother, Ray Johnston and her grandson, Joey Ham preceded her in death. She was a 1952 graduate of Zebulon High School. Her first job was at First Federal Savings and Loan of Griffin. She moved to Macon in 1954 and began working with Macon Federal Savings and Loan, previously known as Liberty Savings, now known as BB&T. She retired after thirty years of service as branch manager. She retired so she could fish. She loved the outdoors including camping, boating with Cecil, teaching her children to enjoy the water and swimming with her grandchildren. She loved a good joke, a good laugh and vine ripe tomatoes. She never met a stranger and you always knew where you stood with her but if she decided she liked you … she was your most loyal supporter. She was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, Cecil Ham of Eatonton; children, Vicki Lord of Lizella and Wayne (Meg) Ham of Eatonton; sister, Joyce Hazel of McDonough; three grandchildren, Heather (Clint) Newberry of Lizella, Jamie (Paige) Ham of Gray and Lynn (Curtis) Stanley of Macon; and nine great grandchildren.
