Suellen Griffin, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and beloved friend, passed away on August 30, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on November 3, 1954, in Forsyth, Georgia, Suellen devoted her life to nurturing those around her through her unwavering love and kindness. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM September 21, 2024, at New Beginnings Pentecostal Church 1883 Juliette Road Forsyth Georgia 31029.
Suellen was a woman of warmth and hospitality, known for her exceptional cooking skills. She took great joy in preparing meals for her loved ones and friends, ensuring that no one ever left her home feeling hungry. Her kitchen was a gathering place filled with laughter, conversation, and the comforting aroma of home-cooked delights.
A faithful member of East Juliette Baptist Church, Suellen held her faith dearly and was an integral part of her community. Her generous spirit extended beyond her home; she welcomed everyone with open arms, fostering connections that enriched the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
In her leisure time, Suellen found happiness in traveling, particularly to the beach, where she relished the sun, sea, and sand. She also enjoyed visiting casinos, where she would enjoy good times with friends and family, adding to her legacy of joy and camaraderie.
Suellen is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Griffin; her daughter, Tonya Carbajal, and son-in-law, Pedro Carbajal; her son, Gregory Griffin; and her grandchildren, Jessica Griffin and Alex Bartolon and Victoria Griffin. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Azriel Griffin. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister, Pamela Waldrop, and her brother, Harold Bryant, along with many friends who adored her and her sidekick "Skunk".
Suellen was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Bryant and Katherine Pritchett. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in her life, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
