Ruby Compton Jackson

VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE               Ruby Mae Compton Jackson passed away Friday, September 1, 2017.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 4, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Franklin Etheridge will officiate.  Visitation will be held the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Mrs. Jackson, the daughter of the late Samuel Compton and Fannie Lou Griffin Compton was born August 16, 1918, in Wilcox County, Georgia. Her sons, Marvin Jackson, Johnny Jackson and Melvin Jackson and her daughters, Alma Ranow and Ruby Toler preceded her in death.  She retired from Bibb Company as an inspector.  Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Jackson of Forsyth; sons, Horace (Geneva) Jackson of Calhoun and Henry Jackson of Perry, Florida; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandchild.Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
