Roger Bennett

Roger H. Bennett, 85, of Juliette, Georgia passed away December 19, 2024. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. 

Roger was born March 28, 1939, in Dighton, Massachusetts to the late Roger and Betty Bennett. Roger was a veteran of the US Navy and a lifelong member of the American Legion Post #63 where he served as Post Commander. While living in Rehoboth, he was a member of the Rehoboth and Jamestown, Rhode Island Police Department. He was a retired machinist where he worked for Automatic Machine for many years. His favorite hobbies were playing golf, building bird houses, working in the yard and helping out the family whenever they called. 

Roger is survived by his daughter, Betsy Newton (Daniel) of Juliette, Georgia; son, Keith Allen Bennett (Michelle) of Pallenville, New York; grandchildren, Benjamin Anderberg (Rebecca) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Sarah Ferguson (Bud), of Moody, Alabama, Jacob Bennett (Casey) of Kingston, New York, and Maggie Bennett (Harrison Cox) Syracuse, New York; four great grandchildren, Garrett Anderberg and Griffin Anderberg, both of Warner Robins, Georgia, Haywood Cox and Gillian Cox, both of Syracuse, New York; sister, Linda Bennett Tobin of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, and brother Paul Barry Bennett of Rehoboth, Massachusetts. 

In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Audrey Ann Thompson Bennett.
