Rickey Allen O'Donnell

Rickey Allen O’Donnell passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at his residence in Forsyth.  A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Luke McGee officiating.  The family will greet friends the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. 

Rickey was born April 21, 1959 in Morgantown, West Virginia, to the late Gerald Vincent O’Donnell and Mary Louise Clark O’Donnell.  He retired from YKK as a technical engineer.  His family was always his top priority always putting himself last.  Rickey was an avid NASCAR fan.  His father was on Richard Petty's pit crew, which gave him great enjoyment.

Rickey is survived by his children, Brittany Davis (Greg) of Forsyth and Tonya Brown of Gray; companion, Marlee Meeks of Macon; sisters, Kelley O’Donnell of Sandy Springs and Diana Layman (Chuck) of Gray; brother, Andrew O’Donnell (Kimberly) of Buchanan; grandchildren, Lane Davis, Grayson Davis, Madison Davis, Graham Davis, Jessica Brown, Elizabeth Brown, Abigail Brown and Hunter Chancellor; great-grandchildren, Aurora West and Joanna West.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
