Richard Tucker

Rick was an educator for 41 years serving as a band director in Ware County and Henry County and later as an educational administrator. He was a three-time graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Music, Master of Education, and Education Specialist degrees. He was a member of the Community Bible Church in Stockbridge, GA. He was an avid NFL fan and a Dallas Cowboy fanatic. He enjoyed gardening, music, reading, and spending time with his dog, Bandit.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Mary Ann Tucker of Forsyth, GA; sons Kirk (Kaitlyn) of Fayetteville, GA; Troy (Ayrn) of Valley, AL, and grandchildren Jaxson, Tyler, and Zoey of Fayetteville, GA; Sister Gale (Charles) Kurtz of Waycross, GA; Brothers John (Nancy) Tucker of Dekalb, IL, Bo Tucker of Waycross, GA, Larry (Dolly) of Jacksonville, FL; Sister-in-law Jeanette Tucker of Hoboken, GA and many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Rick’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. Those who wish to make a memorial contribution may donate to a charity of their choice or to the American Heart Association.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
