SFC Richard Paul Marshall (US Army) (Ret.) SFC Richard Paul Marshall passed away peacefully Sunday, January 30, 2022, after a lengthy illness at his daughter’s residence in Thomasville, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. William Rand will officiate. Sergeant Marshall was born January 18, 1943 in Denver, Colorado to the late Orville Lee Marshall and Marjorie Hill McClelland Marshall. His wife, Ruby Jones Marshall preceded him in death. He was raised in Macon, Georgia, graduated from Lanier High School and spent his entire career in the United States Army. He was a beloved father, a lifetime Mason and an avid runner. Survivors include his daughter, Ruby Lee Carvin, son, Richard Paul Marshall II; grandchildren, Jordan, James, Kyah, Levi and Seth; and brothers, Orville Marshall, Jr. (Mary) and Mark Marshall. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Masonic Children's Home of GA, PO Box 4183, Macon, GA 31208. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
