Richard Byron Kirkendall II

Richard Byron Kirkendall, II passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Forsyth Apostolic Church.  Rev. Mike Causey will officiate.  The family will greet friends at 3:30 p.m., one hour prior to the service at Forsyth Apostolic Church. A funeral service and burial will be handled by Hannigan Short Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, Delaware 19956, Thursday, May 25, 2017.  Mr. Kirkendall, the son of the late Richard Byron Kirkendall and Margaret Elizabeth Parks Kirkendall was born October 15, 1959, in Seaford, Delaware. His brother, Michael Phillip Kirkendall preceded him in death. He was a retired truck driver and was a veteran of the United States Marines.  Survivors include his wife, Nicole Kirkendall of Barnesville; daughter, Amber Kirkendall of Marietta; brother, Tim Kirkendall of Millersville, Maryland; sister, Tammy Kay Kirkendall of Salisbury, Maryland; and three grandchildren.  The family requests no flowers but suggests donations to Wounded Warrior Project, Post Office Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 758517.Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of local arrangements.
