Rachel Lindsey Ryles

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Mama, Granny, Memaw, and Great Granny: Rachel Ryles. She walked to the hands of Jesus on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

She lived her life in Monroe County. As our cherished matriarch, she was devoted to her family and pets. She enjoyed providing her wisdom to them and reminiscing about the past. Rachel was known for her tenacious and inquisitive nature. Her love for her family, gambling, and Christmas will be greatly missed.

Rachel is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Marie Lindsey and husband of 68 years Charles Ryles. She is survived by daughters Charla Ellerbee, Julie Ryles (Eddie Wilson), and Candi Cone (Gene) 4 grandchildren: Summer Vinson (Greg), Lindsey Keene (Gianna), Kourtney Ellerbee, and Branson Cone, and 6 great grandchildren: Tori Hammock, Charlie and Will Vinson, Ellie and Carley Keene and 2 loyal dogs Maggie and Thumper.

She will be laid to rest 1:00 PM Sunday February 2, 2025, at Rogers Church Cemetery, 11576 Hwy 74, Forsyth GA 31029. Family and friends will be greeted immediately following service.
