PV2 Kolton Lane Bush, US Army passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, following an automobile accident. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Rev. Larry Letson will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 27, 2019, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Kolton was born March 22, 1999, in Macon, Georgia. Growing up in Forsyth he enjoyed hunting and driving around in his pickup with his brother, Ryder. After graduating from Mary Persons High School in 2017, he joined the United States Army. Kolton was stationed at Fort Campbell where he was trained to be in the Airborne Infantry.
Survivors include his mother; Tera Bush; brother, Ryder Bush; father, Joe Johnson; grandmother, Merrie Johnson; grandparents, Terry and Dee Bush; great grandmother, Ruth Johnson; aunt, Ashley Bush; uncle, Dusty Bush; cousin, Brianna Morgan all of Forsyth; and fianceé, Hannah Gibson of Murray, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
