Olin Zellner Jr. (1941-2023)
It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Olin Zellner Jr., a beloved
husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Olin passed away on November 25, 2023, leaving
behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength.
Olin was born on January 21, 1941, in Forsyth, Georgia. He grew up in a close-knit community
surrounded by family and friends who instilled in him the values of integrity and compassion. Olin
embodied these qualities throughout his life, making a positive impact on everyone he encountered.
In addition to being a devoted family man, Olin served his country with honor as a member of the
National Guard. His commitment to duty and service was commendable and marked him as a true
patriot.
Olin's life was characterized by his unwavering faith in God. He was a dedicated member of the New
Beginning Pentecostal Church in Forsyth, where he found solace and inspiration within the community
of believers. His commitment to his church family was evident in everything he did.
A visitation will be held on November 29, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Beginning
Pentecostal Church in Forsyth. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during this time.
Following the visitation, a Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 AM in the same location. The service
will be a celebration of Olin's life and the impact he had on those around him. We will gather together to
share memories, offer condolences, and find comfort in each other's presence.
After the Funeral Service concludes, we will proceed to Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens for interment
Olin is survived by his loving wife, Debra Chapman Zellner, who stood by his side through thick and thin.
Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and unwavering support. Olin also leaves behind his
son Jerry Zellner and daughter-in-law Misty Zellner, as well as his cherished grandchildren Tracy Zellner
Bloodworth, Dakota Zellner, and Levi Zellner. He was a doting great-grandfather to Zach Zellner, Connor
Bloodworth, Bristol Bloodworth, Davis Bloodworth, and Landon Zellner. Olin is also survived by his sister
Mary Lou Pettigrew and brother-in-law Robert Pettigrew.
Olin's warm smile, gentle nature, and compassionate heart will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He touched the lives of countless individuals with his selflessness and generosity. Olin's memory will
forever remain etched in our hearts as a beacon of love and inspiration.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the New Beginning Pentecostal
Church in Forsyth. These contributions will honor Olin's legacy while supporting the community he held
dear.
Although we mourn the loss of Olin Zellner Jr., let us also celebrate the incredible life he lived. His spirit
will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
