Nellie Williams Yancey

Nellie Williams Yancey, of Juliette, Georgia, went to her Heavenly reward on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Ms. Yancey is preceded in death by her parents, Guy W. and Annie Maude Williams, her brother, David Williams, her husband, Ben H. Yancey and her son Donnie M Duke.

Ms. Yancey was a lifelong resident of Juliette and a member of the Juliette Baptist Church. She retired from the Social Security Office out of Macon, Georgia and enjoyed playing the piano and singing Gospel hymns with her daughter.

Left to treasure her memory includes her daughter and son-in-love, Sandy and Mark Peppers, her son and daughter-in-law, William, Sr. and Emily Duke. Grandchildren: Benjamin "Gus" Watts, Caleb L. Champion, William Duke, Jr and Melissa Smith. Great Grandchildren: Grover Lewis Watts and Kimber Duke.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 11, 2021 at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bob Hooks will be officiating.

There will not be a formal visitation. Due to COVID-19 masks and social distancing are requested.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
