Margarita Perez

Eulogia “Margarita” Perez passed away at home with her family on Monday, June 13, 2022.  Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. 

Margarita was born in Camaguey, Cuba, on March 11, 1932.  She was married to Vicente R. Perez, who preceded her in death.  She was a retired seamstress who spent the rest of her life helping raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margarita is survived by her children, Frank and Rebeca Perez of Forsyth and Vicente and Kay Perez of Macon.  She is also survived by her brother, Pedro Reyes, of Camaguey, Cuba.  She leaves behind five grandchildren, Yvette (Rick), Jessica (Jimmy), Krista (Rustin), Alisa (Kyle), Frank, Jr. (Stef), as well as nine great-grandchildren, and her niece, Sarai Reyes, of Macon, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Margarita can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
