Lillie Mae Compton, 83, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.

Born on April 25, 1940, in Eddyville, Kentucky, Lillie made an unforgettable impact on everyone she met with her buoyant spirit and unwavering faith.

She and her husband relocated to Macon, Georgia, where she supported her husband's work at Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company. Lillie possessed a love for creativity. Her gifted hands found joy in sewing and crochet, often creating beautiful stitches that reflected her captivating ability to weave love into everything she did. Her favorite pastimes included shopping excursions to Sears and JCPenney.

Always an avid adventurer, Lillie cherished trips to Branson, MO to appreciate the good music and exquisite shows. She was also a steadfast listener of the Grand Ole Opry, finding solace and inspiration in the melodies.

Lillie's life echoed in her deep-rooted Baptist faith, her creative pursuits, and her love for travel and music. Her life will forever be celebrated, her memories treasured, and her vibrant spirit remembered with a smile.

Lillie is survived by her husband, Harold Thomas Compton of Lizella, Georgia; son, Darrell Wayne Compton (Carol) of Lizella, Georgia; grandsons, Daniel Wayne Compton (Kori) of Byron, Georgia, and Dustin Wayne Compton (Sandra) of Lizella, Georgia; great-grandsons, Dalton Wayne Compton, Dakota Wayne Compton, and Devin Wayne Compton; and several nieces and nephews.

Lillie was preceded in death by her grandson, Charlie Compton, and all of her siblings.
