Larry Dean Gauldin, 76, of Forsyth, passed away Saturday April 12, 2025. A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00AM Wednesday April 16, 2025, at Monroe Memorial Gardens, Ensign Road Forsyth, Georgia. The family will greet friends after the service.

Larry was born February 24, 1949, in Talladega, Alabama to the late Guy Gauldin and the late Doris Angles Vaughan. Larry was a veteran of the US Army who served in Vietnam, including the Tet Offensive. He enjoyed being outdoors, bow hunting, gardening, photography, taxidermy, oil painting, wine making and knife making. Larry retired from the Georgia State Finance and Investment Commission where he was well respected.

Larry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Myra Pinyon Gauldin; children Elisha Gauldin Purser (Ryan), April Gauldin, Clint Gauldin (Inga), and Elaine Gauldin Sekita (Brian); thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren with one more on the way; brothers Bobby Gauldin, Ronnie Gauldin; sisters, Dorothy Allison, Betty Marchant (his twin sister), Dale Santana; and many friends.

In addition to his parents Larry is preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd Gauldin, Billy Vaughan; sister Arlene Spurlin and nephew Rob Johnson.
