Kenneth Edward Heath Sr.

Mr. Kenneth Edward Heath, Sr., 73, of Forsyth, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  Funeral services will be at Monroe County Memorial Chapel, Friday, November 24, 2023, at 2:00PM.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial at Monroe Memorial Gardens will follow the service.    

As a devoted member of the Gray Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Mr. Heath served for many years as an elder in the church.  He was a talented musician who loved to sing and play the guitar.  Mr. Heath enjoyed the outdoors, and he faithfully tended his garden. For years, he would travel to Lake Sinclair every weekend to fish or just ride in his boat.  Over the years, he taught many of his friends and family to waterski.   

Mr. Heath is preceded in death by his wife, Janyce Gayle Heath; and brothers, David Robert Heath and Ronald Ellis Heath.  He is survived by his children, Sonya E’Dalgo of Jackson, Georgia, Kenneth Heath, Jr. (Pilar) of Jones County, and Christy Harris (Cotton) of Crawford County; step-daughter, Kim Gaultney, of Jones County; step-son, Edward Serpus; grandchildren: Alyssa Dorsey, Matt McLain, Amber E’Dalgo, Devin Heath, Katie Faulk, Layla Tripp, and Michael Harris; two great-grandchildren, Anna Dorsey and Athena Tripp; mother, Ethel Potter Heath, of Forsyth;  sister, Cheryl Lynn Heath, of Forsyth; and aunt, Sarah NeSmith of Forsyth.
