Kathy Farmer

Thelma Kathleen Farmer, lovingly known as Kathy, passed away on December 31, 2023. She was surrounded by her cherished memories and the love of her family and friends. Kathy will be remembered for always wearing a smile that brightened the lives of those around her.

Born on July 10, 1947, in Corinth, Mississippi, Kathy journey through life was marked by love and compassion. Her warm personality touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. Kathy had a special way of making others feel valued and appreciated, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.

Kathy's life was dedicated to her family, whom she held dear to her heart. She leaves behind a strong bond with her daughter Amanda Ruth Farmer, daughter Leah Smith, son-in-law Don, and grandchildren Amber Godwin, Justin Godwin, Carey Smith, Kennedy Godwin, and Aria Battle; Her two brothers Jeff and Wendell Yoakam.  Their lives have been forever enriched by Kathy's unwavering love and support.

Kathy's life will be commemorated through a Memorial Service on January 4, 2024, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel in Forsyth, GA. The service will begin at 11:00 AM and will be held at 86 W Main St. Kathy's serene presence will forever be missed but never forgotten.

As we reflect upon Thelma Kathleen Farmer's life, we are reminded of the immense impact she had on the lives she touched. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Thelma's contagious smile and loving spirit will continue to inspire us to spread kindness and uplift others.

In times of grief, it is important to remember the beauty that Kathy brought into our lives. As we pay tribute to her memory, let us celebrate the life she lived and the love she shared. Though Thelma may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will forever remain alive within our hearts. May her soul find eternal peace. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the donor's favorite charity.
