John William Sheffield IV, 38, went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 20, 2024. John was the son of John Sheffield III of Forsyth Georgia, and Julie Pittman (Lamar) of Groveoak Alabama. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
John grew up in middle Georgia and was active in sports and a true friend to all. He loved spending time with his family. After graduating from Jones County High School in 2005, he became a licensed electrician and was respected within the community. John enjoyed music and attended as many southern rock concerts as possible. He had a vast knowledge of music and musicians, especially southern rock and blues. John enjoyed college football. His favorite team was The University of Alabama, “Roll Tide”. He will be missed more than words can express leaving a hole in the hearts of all those who knew him.
John leaves behind to mourn his loss a brother Cameron Pittman (Sydney) of Fyffe, Alabama; sisters Megan Freeman of Vancouver, Washington, Kaitlyn Pittman of Groveoak, Alabama; aunts June Rainwater of McRae, Georgia, Jackie McPherson of Tifton, Georgia, Lori Spradley of Fort Valley Georgia, Pam Giddens of Byron, Georgia, Jana Cansler of Dalton, Georgia and Ginai Howells of Macon Georgia; many cousins and friends.
John is preceded in death by his grandparents John Sheffield II (Margie) of Forsyth Georgia, Frankie Mae Apperson (Charlie) of Forsyth Georgia, Stanley and Betty Howells of Macon Georgia and Aunt Vickie Lovett of McRae, Georgia.
