John Lindell Raymer

John Lindell Raymer, a resident of Bolingbroke, Georgia Born August 11, 1946 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 23, 2021. He had battled cancer for three years.

He retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation after 35 years of service. After retiring he worked at Sky Valley Golf Resort and Kingwood Country Club in the pro shop. He loved golf but most of all he loved hiking the north Georgia mountains. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grand baby. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carleen Raymer of Monroe County; children, Tess Wynn (Johnny) of St. Simons and Lynn Dugger (Dustin) of Juliette; brothers, Larry Raymer (Mary) of Mt. Washington, Kentucky and Randal Raymer (Linda) of Virginia; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens with visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Rev. Mark Goolsby will officiate.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
