Born January 28, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio, JoAnne was the first born of three girls. As a young girl, JoAnne enjoyed being the Teacher as she played school with her two sisters, Amy Jeffries and Lynn Spence.
She graduated from Vienna High in 1977 and moved to Macon for her employment at the home office with Georgia Farm Bureau. She later followed her parents, Lennie and Joyce Pontiac, to Forsyth, Georgia. It was here where she met and married the love of her life, Tony Turner, in August 1992. Together, they raised three beautiful women, Ashley Wimberly, Summer Tisdale and Autumn Turner. JoAnne flourished in her home and career, building lifelong friendships. Her home had an open-door policy to anyone, big or small, young or old, where you were greeted with a full refrigerator and uplifting conversation. She was a social butterfly, who never missed an opportunity to tell you that you are loved. In her most recent years, her life was filled with joy and adoration of her five grandchildren, Lexy Chambers, Landon McRee, Bo Stephens, Khloe Stephens and Annora Stewart.
