Jerry Thomas Roberts

Jerry Thomas Roberts, 82, passed away Monday August 29th, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, September 2nd, 2022, at Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum-Chapel, 3969 Mercer University Drive. Brother Jimmy Corbitt will be officiating. Burial will be private for family members only. Family will greet friends immediately following the service. A luncheon will be held at Bethany Baptist Church for family and close friends. Jerry was born in Macon, the son of the late Aritha Nix Roberts and John “J.B” Roberts. He was a Vietnam Veteran and Bibb County Firefighter. Jerry retired from the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He was a longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church where he proudly played the organ for worship service. Jerry attended Lanier High School. Jerry is survived by his son, Jason Thomas Roberts (Katie) and 2 grandchildren, Christopher “Logan”, Riley Faye. He is also survived by sisters Janice and Gale, several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
