Jerry Donovan

Gerald Douglas “Jerry” Donovan passed away Monday, February 17, 2020. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2020, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Rev. David Edmonson will officiate.  Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Donovan, the son of the late John J. Donovan and Helen Maroney Donovan was born April 9, 1942, in Foley, Minnesota.  He was retired from the automotive/truck industry, was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Abundant Life Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Foss Donovan of Forsyth; children, Stacie Donovan-Vise (Gary) of Buford, Dan Donovan of West Palm Beach, Florida and JP Donovan (Chrissy) of Forsyth; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Abundant Life Church, 962 Juliette Road, Forsyth, GA 31029.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
