James Wayne Taylor, Sr. passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private. Father Jose Kochuparambil will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Taylor, the son of the late James Henry Taylor and Ophelia Gertrude Smith Taylor, was born October 27, 1945, in Juliette, Georgia. He was a retired industrial mechanic and a veteran of the United States Navy. Survivors include his wife, Connie Taylor of Forsyth; children, JT Taylor (Gala) of Forsyth, Anthony Taylor (Dawn) of Villa Rica, Kimberley Taylor Sears (Kevin Creel) of Forsyth and Jacqueline Taylor of Moultrie; sister, Patricia Crutchfield of Forsyth; brother, DK Smith (Lisa) of Forsyth; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
