James David Calhoun, Jr.

James David Calhoun, Jr. passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Dayspring Presbyterian Church with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens.  Rev. David Martin will officiate.  The family will greet friends the day of the service from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., at the church.  Mr. Calhoun was born February 8, 1957, in Athens, Tennessee. His father, James David Calhoun, Sr. preceded him in death.  He was employed with Georgia Power Company and was a member of Dayspring Presbyterian Church.  Survivors include his wife, LouCindy Calhoun of Macon; children, Leslie Waters of Macon, Miranda Calhoun of Atlanta and Gavvyn (David) Calhoun of Macon; mother, Mary Lou Murphy of Athens, Tennessee; sister, Judy (Roger) Wilcox of Athens, Tennessee; brothers, Steve Calhoun of Riceville, Tennessee and Mark (Shelley) Calhoun of Sweetwater, Tennessee; and grandson, Wyatt Waters.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Dayspring Presbyterian Church, 1045 US 41 South, Forsyth, Ga 31029.Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
