James Franklin Aldridge

James Franklin Aldridge passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Forsyth City Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Aldridge, the son of the late George Milton Aldridge and Avie Nowell Aldridge was born June 26, 1939, in Thomaston, Georgia. His wife, Tommie Geneva Mitchell Aldridge preceded him in death.  He retired from the Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment mechanic and was a veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include his children, Tabitha (Jesse) Aldridge of Thomaston, Ray (Marylin) Sapp of Byron, Patricia (Roger) Phillips of Fort Valley and Lisa Aldridge of Cochran; brother, Glenn Aldridge of North Carolina; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association.Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
