Hubert Franklin Evans

Hubert Evans, 91, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away January 6, 2024.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Maynard Baptist Church. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow the service at Grace Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 4519 Sardis Church Road, Macon, GA 31216.
Son of the late Albert Evans and Bessie Hobbs Evans, Hubert was born December 15, 1932, in Cochran, Georgia.  He retired from Inland Manufacturing after 36 years of service.
A devoted member of Maynard Baptist Church, his faith was a cornerstone of his life. Hubert's love for his church was evident through the countless hours he spent enhancing its grounds and facilities with joyous labor. His handywork, whether doing odd jobs or meticulously cutting the grass, served as a testament to his care for his spiritual home and community.
Hubert was not just a fantastic husband but also a loving father and grandfather, whose boundless energy kept him always engaged in the lives of his loved ones. A man who stayed endlessly busy, Hubert's indomitable spirit and warmth will be remembered and missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Hubert is survived by his loving wife Annette Evans; son, Tommy Evans (Angie); stepchildren, Michael Clegg, Anita Cravens, and Kathy Hall-Gordon; grandchildren: Wendy Reid, Amy Steele, Aimee Cheek, Hillery Bavani, Sarah Clegg, and Christopher Cravens; twelve great grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents Hubert was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Evans, and son, Bobby Evans.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church pavilion fund at Maynard Baptist Church, 1195 Juliette Road, Forsyth, GA 31029.
