Henry (Rickey) Rickenbaker Harbuck passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 30, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm, Tuesday, August 3rd at the Forsyth City Cemetery. Please observe COVID precautions. A private visitation for family and friends will be held at the Monroe County Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 2nd from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. You may also visit with the family at the Harbuck Home on Highway 42 South before visitation and after the service.
Rickey, the son of the late Henry Thomas Harbuck and Annie Will (Rickenbaker) Harbuck was born on August 7, 1938 in Forsyth, GA. He graduated from Mary Persons High School in 1956 and later spent three years in the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, NC. He retired from BellSouth as a cable splicer with over 40 years and was a member of Russellville Baptist Church.
He enjoyed country life, working at his farm, tending to cows and baling hay for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Angela Chambers Harbuck, his brother Hiram Barnes Harbuck and niece and her husband Leighanne Harbuck Bowen and Doug Bowen.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dulcie Harbuck Whitaker and John D Whitaker, his sister-in-law Rosalyn Harbuck and nephews Keith (Karen) Harbuck and Vence Harbuck.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Russellville Baptist Church c/I Janet Storey, 5514 Highway 42 S, Forsyth, GA 31029.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
