Helen was born July 4, 1925, the daughter of the late Hoolie Melvin Fox and Cleo Belle West.
Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, she dedicated her entire adult life to her family. Cooking was her joy and her kitchen was always open to feed whomever came by for a visit. She sent cards for all occasions to family and friends. A family joke was that she kept the post office busy for years!
She and her beloved late husband were members of First Baptist Church for 25 years.
Helen was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, WPB, Florida. She organized and formed the first Red Hat Club in Forsyth 20 years ago. It was a wonderful time for ladies to enjoy lunch in different Tea Rooms and wear gorgeous red hats.
Helen and Ernest spent 29 years square dancing all over the United States.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Ralph of 70 years.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Bass Williams of Forsyth, Jim Bass (Carlin) of Newnan, GA, Mike Bass (Carol) WPB, Florida, Patti Bass Gainey of Forsyth, sister, Gloria Flanders (Jack) of Charleston, SC., 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Heartland Hospice of Macon, 5400 Riverside Drive, Suite 200, Macon, GA 31210.
