Gloria Mascarenas

Gloria Mascarenas, beloved daughter, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 5th, 2023. She was born on May 19th, 1961, and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of all who knew her. a celebration of Gloria's life will be held at a later date.

Gloria's journey began when she entered this world to Jose Mascarenas and Mary Clara. They raised Gloria with love and care, instilling in her the values that would shape her into the remarkable woman she became. Gloria cherished her parents and held a deep gratitude for the support they provided throughout her life.

As a loving mother herself, Gloria leaves behind two wonderful daughters: Theresa Bates and Amanda Pollard. She filled their lives with boundless love and imbued them with kindness and compassion. Gloria's devotion to her children was unwavering, and she took great pride in watching them grow into exceptional individuals. Additionally, James Bates, Gloria's dedicated son-in-law, stood by her side as a loved member of the family, Sisters Viola Cooper (Floyd), Yolanda Husky (Charlie Brown), Zelma Bleier, Brother Louis Mascarenas; several nieces and nephews.

Gloria's presence extended beyond her immediate family. She touched the lives of countless friends who will forever cherish their memories with her. Her warm smile could light up any room, and her kind-hearted nature made those around her feel instantly at ease. Gloria had a unique ability to connect deeply with others and was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of comfort.

Throughout her life, Gloria pursued various passions that brought her joy and fulfillment. With an insatiable curiosity for knowledge, she constantly sought to expand her horizons. Gloria's thirst for learning was inspiring to all who knew her.


The loss of Gloria Mascarenas leaves a void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. However, we find solace in the cherished memories she leaves behind. Gloria's spirit will forever be remembered and celebrated by those who were fortunate enough to have shared a part of her journey.

In honor of Gloria's memory, her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on a date to be determined. During this time of mourning, let us remember the joy she brought to our lives and the light she brought into the world. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
