Glenda Osborne Ard

Glenda Osborne Ard, age 68, of Juliette, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Maynard Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in East Juliette Baptist Church Cemetery.  Elder Johnny Cox will officiate.

Glenda, the daughter of the late Merrill Green Osborne and Reba Lovern Osborne was born February 19, 1953 in Greensboro, Georgia.  She retired with thirty-nine years of service with Office of Personnel Management. Glenda was a member of Mable White Baptist Church and a member of Dayspring Sunday School Class. Her love for the Lord was first in her life followed by her family. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren playing sports and playing crazy rummy with her close friends weekly.

Glenda is survived by her husband of twenty-six years, Pete Ard of Juliette; children, Holly (Kenny) Bryant and John (Sharon) Beck of Gray; sister, Marilyn Napier of North Carolina; brothers, Doug (Lucy) Osborne and Don (Kathy) Osborne of Gray; grandchildren, Macey Ryals, Harley (Devin) Strozier, Maddie Beck and CJ Bryant; niece, Kim Sellars; nephews, Troy, Matt, and Wade Osborne, Taylor and Jackson Sellars, and many dear friends and family. 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
