Gladys Stuart Rogers

Sara Gladys Stuart Rogers passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Burial will be private in Forsyth City Cemetery.  Rev. Mark Goolsby will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Mrs. Rogers, the daughter of the late Preston Stuart and Fannie Lee Allen Stuart was born February 29, 1928, in Forsyth, Georgia. Her husband Rufus Franklin Rogers, Jr., her daughter, Brenda Joyce Rogers and her great grandchild, Mason Taylon Edwards preceded her in death.  She was a homemaker.  Survivors include her children, Steve Rogers (Janice), Michael Rogers (Gloria) of Forsyth and Marcia Ballard (Bert) of Covington, brothers, Glover Stuart (Evelyn) and Wallace Stuart of Forsyth; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1671 Dames Ferry Road, Forsyth, Ga 31029.    Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
