George Larry Williams

George Larry Williams passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Forsyth City Cemetery. Rev. Mark Goolsby will officiate.  The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Larry, the son of the late Harvey Lavosia Williams and Alver Shepard Williams was born December 8, 1939, in Upson County, Georgia. His wife, Dianne Tidwell Williams preceded him in death.  He retired from the State of Georgia as a Civil Engineer and was a veteran of the Georgia National Guard. Survivors include his children, Michael Williams (Misty) of Forsyth and David (Melanie) Williams of Stugartt, Germany; companion, Penny Pippin of Forsyth; grandchildren, Cody Williams, Chelsea Williams, Christopher Williams, Olivia Williams, Patrick Williams and Mya Williams; great grandchild, Melanie Yost. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Ga 31201. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
