Frances Jeanelle Norris

VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE     Frances Jeanelle Bennett Norris passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M, Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Culloden Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the Culloden City Cemetery.  Elder Matt Yawn will officiate.  The family will greet friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Mrs. Norris, the daughter of the late William Roy Bennett and Sara Frances Pierson Bateman was born July 1, 1931, in Culloden, Georgia. Her brother, John W. (Billy) Bennett and her grandson, Dep. Michael Norris preceded her in death.  She was a homemaker.  Mrs. Norris attended Tift College and later transferred and graduated from ABAC and she also attended the University of Georgia.  She was a member of Culloden Primitive Baptist Church and a member of Culloden Garden Club.  Survivors include her husband of sixty-four years, Edd Norris; children, Bennett Norris (Fran) and Kathy Welch (Darrell) of Culloden; sister, Anne Fletcher (Shaw) of Americus; brothers, Killis Bennett (Ann) of Forsyth and Sam Bennett of Culloden; grandchildren, Brandon Norris (Charlotte), Dustin Welch (Michelle) and Nicholas Welch (Katherine); and great grandchildren, Isabella Norris, Sydnee Norris, Cheyenne Welch and Michael Welch.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Culloden Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Warren Bennett, 4990 Hwy 83 South, Culloden, Ga 31016.    Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
