Florence Norma Sye

Florence Norma Sye, 87, of Forsyth, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022. Visitation will be held Friday, March 4, at 10:00 AM at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church, Barnesville, Georgia, followed by the funeral at 11:00. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Elders Pat McCoy and Kurt Bacon will officiate.         

Mrs. Sye was born in North Andover, Massachusetts on January 11, 1935 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Warren Towne. She was a devoted Army wife and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her later years she faithfully served as a pastor’s wife. She was an active member of the Ramah Primitive Baptist Church.         

Mrs. Sye’s memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 69 years, Elder Parker H. Sye; children:  Tom Sye, Susan Benson (the late Don Benson), Edith Adams (Rufus), Elizabeth Albor (Luis); grandchildren:  Melissa Adam’s Selman (Chris), Kenneth Benson, Kimberly Benson Haddock (Blake), Christopher Benson, Carmen Adams Hynko (Ryan), Lauren Albor Greenwald (Charles), Bessie Sye, Luis Albor, Jr.; great-grandchildren:  Annaleigh Selman, Jase Hynko, Liam Haddock, Benson Haddock, Mattie Haddock, Tucker Hynko; and eight nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sye was preceded in death by her brother, Warren Towne.
