Faye Louise Stokes

Faye Louise Stokes of Lizella, GA, age 92, died peacefully on October 17th, 2022, at Greenwood Place in Marietta, GA, with family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Joe Bowker will officiate.

She is preceded in death (2008) by her husband of 54 years, Prentice Gene Stokes, Sr.  She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Bob) Fresorger, sons Jimmy (Susan) Edwards, Eddie (Kay) Stokes, and Tim (Sandy) Stokes. She is predeceased by two sons, “Buster” and Benji Stokes. Also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters Hazel Stokes and Gail Jarrett. Predeceased by brothers Verlon and Gene and sisters Betty and Joan.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
