Evelyn was a dedicated member of New Providence Baptist Church where she enjoyed working with children’s classes and the nursery for many years. She especially looked forward to the weekly Women’s Prayer Time. At age 91 She was the most faithful member of the Wellness Way Chair Yoga group that met 3 times per week. Evelyn was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed her flower garden and providing food for the many birds who visited her garden area. Always a wonderful cook she was known for her multi layer chocolate cake that was frequently requested at family birthdays and a most sought after dessert at the annual Ham Family Reunion. Her food and especially her pound cakes often blessed those who were sick or who had lost a loved one. She followed the motto “Feed them and they will come” and almost every Sunday included the after church Sunday lunch with her family. Her greatest joy was her grand and great grandchildren whom she loved spoiling with their favorite treats and dinners.
The family thanks all those who ministered to the family over the past few weeks. Evelyn will be greatly missed by her family, friends and church.
