Emily Wilson Urquhart of Forsyth went to be with her heavenly father on December 8, 2021 after an extended illness. She was the daughter of Cullen and Myrtice Wilson of Juliette who preceded her in death. Emily was born February 5, 1947 in Juliette, GA.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Urquhart, of 33 years and her three daughters: Sherry Folsom of Atlanta; Cindy (and Greg) Nease of Newnan; Kathleen Ivey (and Victor) Campos of Decatur and step daughter, Christina (and Keith) Green of Forsyth and her seven grandchildren and one nephew.
She worked for several years as Monroe County Deputy Clerk of the Court with Mrs. Merle Freeman. She also had worked for several law and CPA firms and finally as an administrative assistant of admissions at Gordon College retiring in 1997 due to health issues. She loved her family and was a member of Rock Springs Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, quilting and growing plants and flowers.
Graveside services will be held at 1100 a.m., Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Russellville Road, Hwy 42 South, Forsyth, GA 31029. Masks and social distancing are encouraged. There will not be a formal visitation. The family will greet friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Shriners Hospital, PO Box 1525, Ranson, WV 25438 in memory of “Emily Wilson Urquhart”.
