Edward “Ed” Peacock passed away Monday, February 5, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018, in the sanctuary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gray Ward. Bishop Derek Burns will officiate. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Mr. Peacock, the son of the late William Olin Peacock and Mae English Peacock was born September 10, 1925, in Dodge County, Georgia. His wife, Bobbie Juanita Taylor Peacock, his two brothers-in-law, Robert Knight and Bobby Ray Skipper preceded him in death. He was retired as co-owner and operator of Peacock’s Auto Salvage Inc. Mr. Peacock was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for fifty plus years. He loved visiting the Temple, his family, fishing, hunting and going to the races. He was the “Example of Work”. Mr. Peacock is survived by his children, Edward (Toni) Peacock, Jr. of Macon and Bob (Jan) Peacock of Gray; grandchildren, Edward (Little Eddie) Peacock of Macon, Billy (Sheila) Peacock of Maryland, Taylor Peacock of Macon, Ashley Peacock of Gray, Jon (Tonya) Wimberly of Macon, Terri (Jim) Pound of Macon, Sherri (Christian) Lee of Dublin, Jennie Henderson of Gray and Daniel (Kristina) Wimberly of Dry Branch; sisters, Myrtle Knight of Dexter and Dorothy Skipper of Cochran; fourteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Mission Fund, Gray Ward, c/o Bishop Derek Burns, 541 Oak Hill Lane, Gray, GA 31032. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
