William Edwin Wilson, Jr.
Juliette, GA - William Edwin Wilson, Jr., age 69, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A visitation will be held at New Providence Baptist Church on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Brian Moore. Interment will follow at Macon Memorial Park.
Ed was born to the late William Edwin Wilson, Sr. and Myrtle Jeanette Wilson. He attended Monroe Academy and joined the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department at the age of 18, serving for 35 years before retiring at the rank of Captain. In addition, he served 19 years with the Monroe County Fire Department. Ed was also ordained as the Chaplain for Monroe County Emergency Services, the Spalding County Correctional Institution, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
An avid ham radio operator, Ed held an Extra Class license, reflecting his passion for communication and community involvement. He was deeply devoted to his faith and was an active member of New Providence Baptist Church, where he was ordained as an elder and deacon.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Robin Wilson; his children, Amber Schweibert (Christopher), William Dustin Wilson (Logan), Tiffany Presley (Matthew), William Zebulon Wilson (Marley), and William Luke Wilson; as well as eight cherished grandchildren, Andi Bird, Theo, Kix, Kai, Murphy, Oliver, Jenson, and Nora.
