Douglas Langer Sr.

Douglas Langer Sr., 78, of Forsyth passed away Saturday November 2, 2024. Doug was born January 3, 1946, to the late Bill and Rosemary Langer in Cleveland Ohio. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday November 9, 2024, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel 86 West Main Street Forsyth, with Reverend Dusty Elliott officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. 

Doug was a lifelong union electrical contractor with the IBEW and a member of #349, in his spare time he loved to listen to classic rock and blues music especially while he worked on his classic car collection. 

Doug is survived by his son, Douglas Langer Jr. (Shanell) of Forsyth; granddaughter, Abney Grace Langer of Forsyth; grandsons, Kody Berta (Mikaela) of Macon, and Kaden Berta of Forsyth; brother, Roger Langer (Lynn) of Miami, Florida; sister, Deborah Poole of New York City, New York. 

In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Jean Langer; sister, Alice Hogan; and brother, William Langer III. 

Monroe County Memorial Chapel 86 West Main Street has charge of the arrangements.
