Forsyth, GA - Mrs. Dorothy Rodeheaver, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 23, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at 11:30am Tuesday March 26, 2024 in the Chapel at New Providence Baptist Church, 2560 US Highway 41 Forsyth, Georgia. Reverend Brian Moore will officiate. Interment will immediately follow at Monroe Memorial Gardens in Forsyth, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at 10:30am. The family is accepting flowers or donations can be made to New Providence Baptist Church.
Dorothy was born on August 17, 1929 in Columbia, SC. Dorothy devoted her life to serving the Lord, her family and her church. She was faithful member of New Providence Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. She loved her family and especially loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren supporting them in all their endeavors. She worked over 40 years as a front office manager for Econo Lodge and retired at the age of 80. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Stewart Rodeheaver (Lou), Connie Ham (Chris), Christy Livingston, and Steve Rodeheaver. Her grandchildren: Scot Rodeheaver (Kelsey), Lauren Becker (Nick), Kerri Swearingen (Mike), Chrissy Donovan (JP), Kurt Ham (Byerly), Michele Travoss (Shon), Kelly Hutchins (Casey), Meryl Kimler (Shannon). Great grandchildren: Emma Allen, Hannah Pyron (Dakota), Avery Donovan, Jaxon Donovan, Maggie Ham, Evie Ham, Ansley Travoss, Sabin Hutchins, Blaise Hutchins, Kepler Hutchins, Turner Kimler, Grayson Kimler and Amelia Kimler and a host of extended family and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, as well as, her loving husband, Charles Rodeheaver and her son-in-law Jay Livingston.
