Donald Eugene Bostick

March 19, 1936 — May 23, 2020

Donald Eugene Bostick of 357 Candler Drive, Macon, GA passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, GA.  He was born and raised in Juliette, GA March 19, 1936.  He loved the Juliette Community and lived there the majority of his life.

Mr. Bostick was predeceased by his parents, Curtis E. Bostick and Vilula L. Bostick and his spouse Runette Bostick. He is survived by his daughters Rebecca Croom (Chris) of Macon and Rachel Brown (Byron) of New Zealand, four grandchildren, Kristen Pierce (Nix) of Macon, Jennifer Denton (Brian) of Macon, Hutch and Quin Brown of New Zealand, two great grandchildren, Georgia Denton and Hawkins Pierce and the mother of his children Mary Bishop of Macon.

Mr. Bostick was a member of Juliette United Methodist Church.  He loved to sing gospel music especially at his church.  He enjoyed traveling out west and to the New England States.  He loved westerns and listening to country music.  He was an avid car lover and could remember every car he ever owned.

Mr. Bostick was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation.  He belonged to the Masonic Lodge Strict Observance # 18 of Forsyth, the Shriner’s and the Shriner’s Misfits.  These organizations were dear to his heart as he enjoyed helping children.

Mr. Bostick loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He enjoyed spending time with them and talking to them on the phone.

We would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Baptist Village Assisted Living in Macon, GA for the wonderful care you gave our father for the last eight months he spent with you.

Private graveside services will be at Juliette United Methodist Church Cemetery on Wednesday May 27, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Mark Hudgins will officiate.  Friends may visit the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2020, to view Mr. Bostick and sign the guestbook. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will not be a formal visitation.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
