Dillon Ray McCoy

October 8, 2003 — June 5, 2020

Dillon Ray McCoy our beloved son and brother, passed away June 5, 2020.  Dillon was a kind, giving, loving, and funny young man and will be greatly missed.  He was born October 8, 2003 and is survived by his parents Mark and Sheyna McCoy, brothers Nicholas and Aaron McCoy, grandparents, Bill and Brenda Culver, Tom and Jackie Gilbert, Pat and Kathy McCoy and great grandmother Katharine Simms as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dillon had just finished the 10th grade at Mary Persons High School and was a member of the Mary Persons baseball team and FFA.  Dillon was a member of New Providence Baptist Church in Smarr and was very active in his youth group.  Dillon loved playing baseball, the guitar, fixing up his and his friends trucks, and hunting and fishing.

God gave him to us for 16 years and we are so thankful for his life and the man he was becoming.   We are very grateful for the support from our church family, school system, friends and community members.  He made us laugh and was so much fun to be with.  We will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, we request donations to be made in memory of Dillon Ray McCoy to Life Link Foundation of Georgia at Donate Life Georgia.  PO Box 942322 Atlanta, GA  31141 or give online at www.donatelifegeorgia.org.

A private graveside service for family will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2020. Elders Nathan Jackson and Pat McCoy will officiate the service. Due to the COVID – 19 CDC restrictions, there will be no formal visitation.  A life celebration service will be planned at a later date.
