In loving memory of Daphne Brinkley Perkins
It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Daphne B. Perkins. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother and adoring and loving grandmother, who left us on April 20th, 2025, at the age of 55.
Daphne was the heart and soul of our family - warm, kind, and endlessly generous. She was our strength and comfort, always putting others before herself and always had a smile on her face. She was a teacher for 29+ years, and she loved her students, and they loved her. If she didn't remember the name, she would always say " I know the face" and she would soon figure it out.
She is survived by her loving spouse Lee Perkins, and her cherished son Colton and his wife Mary Kate, her mother-in law Gloria Long, her cousin Frankie Williams and the light of her life - her grandson Parker Banks Perkins. He was the light of her life, and her eyes would light up every time she spoke of him. Parker was her world!
Her memory will live on in the lives she touched (and there were many), the kindness she showed and the love she gave so freely. Though our hearts are heavy, we will forever be grateful for the time and love that we shared with her. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be missed beyond words.
A private family service will be held to celebrate her life.
