Lelia Dale Ponder Jackson passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2018. The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the residence of Thomas Alan Jackson, 180 Ramah Church Road, Barnesville, GA 30204. Services and burial will be private. Mrs. Jackson, the daughter of the late Homer Ponder, Sr. and Ella Mae Mackey Ponder was born March 22, 1941, in Forsyth, Georgia. Her husband Thomas Alton Jackson, her daughters, Kathy Williamson and Sharon Garnto preceded her in death. She was retired from Carter’s. Survivors include her children, Thomas Alan Jackson of Barnesville and Robert Lee Jackson of Forsyth; brother, Homer Ponder, Jr. of Gwinnett County; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
