On January 18, 2020, our Lord and Savior called one of his most faithful servants home. Clara passed away peacefully with her loved ones surrounded by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and beloved friend.
She touched and blessed many lives. She witnessed to all about the Lord’s grace. Oh how she longed to see his face, strolling hand in hand with her loved ones through the Pearly Gates and streets of gold. We can only long for what her eyes behold.
Clara was born in Lyons, Georgia. She graduated from Lyons High School. She moved to Macon, GA where she worked for Bell South and retired with Bibb Company Plant Camellia. She met many friends, some became family. She was a member of the Juliette United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Misti (Jerry) Tomberlin, Juliette, GA, Elaine (Joseph) Najjar, Talking Rock, GA. She is also survived by her sister, Vivian Williamson Chancey, White, GA and several beautiful nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, James Wade Williams, Sr., father and mother, Sol and Dollie Williamson, and two brothers, Jack Williamson and Wayne Williamson.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2020, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. A private graveside service for family will be held. Pastor Stan Harrell will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital Navicent Health, 888 Pine Street, Macon, GA 31201 or the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201 in her memory.
So full of grace and love, we celebrate your journey to heaven above. We will always love and cherish you.
