Christine Nan Aldridge Knox was born on Oct 7, 1931, to Homer and Ella Aldridge in Haleyville, Alabama. Upon her graduation from high school, she had the fortitude to leave the small Alabama town and move to the big city of Atlanta, Ga. She loved Atlanta and immediately landed a position with Southern Bell Telephone Company starting out as an Operator in the West End Central Office. She worked for Southern Bell for 36 years forging lifelong friendships with many of her coworkers.
She met a Steelworker by the name of John Knox on a blind date, fell in love and they Married on July 12, 1952. They had 3 children; John Jr, Marty and Kristie who blessed her with 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Granddaughter!
She loved her friends and was genuinely focused on her family. She was the moral anchor of the family fostering love and dedication to family traditions and legacy. She had an amazingly strong heart all the way to the end.
