Charles Michael “Mike” Snow, Sr. passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018, after a long, courageous fight with many health ailments. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Scott Harrell will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2018, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mike, the son of the late Parker and Charlotte Holley Snow was born October 12, 1954, in Forsyth, Georgia. He was retired owner and operator of Snow’s BP. Before opening the gas station in 1991, he worked at Forsyth Hardware and Furniture Company. He was known for standing outside of the store which was located on the town square. Mike was larger than life, a jokester and always had a smile on his face. He was a graduate of Monroe Academy, a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church and a former member of the Monroe County Jaycees and under his presidency the club grew to its largest membership. Mike is survived by his wife, Cathy Snow; children, Amy Snow, Katie Snow and Michael Snow; sister, Patricia (Charles) Dumas; grandchildren, Warrick and Zoey; niece, Betsy McClendon; nephews, Jesse Dumas and Jeremiah Dumas; and mother-in-law, Lillian Parker. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Rocky Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 225 Rocky Creek Road, Forsyth, Ga 31029.Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
